ACE Career Day on October 15 2020
The Automotive Center of Expertise (ACE) organizes this year, together with the Automotive educational programs of Hogeschool van Arnhem and Nijmegen, Fontys Hogescholen and Hogeschool Rotterdam the Automotive Career Day.
Obviously, this will be different from previous years because we strictly observe the guidelines of the RIVM and above all we want to guarantee the health of everyone. The Automotive Career Day will therefore be fully digitized.
The career day will take place on Thursday October 15, 2020 from 08:45 till 17:00 via an online event platform. As in previous years, participation in the career day is mandatory for all automotive students. Again, more than 1000 students are expected!
This year's Automotive Career Day program is divided into 3 elements:
- Digital Career Guide
Every automotive student will receive a digital career guide that lists all the ins & outs of the companies that are participating in the Automotive Career Day this year. On the basis of the digital career guide, students can choose a number of companies that they want to get to know more about by attending a company presentation and / or a Match and Meet session.
- Company presentations via livestream
We will build a studio in Arnhem at the Hogeschool van Arnhem & Nijmegen and in Helmond at the Automotive Campus where companies can present themselves via a livestream. For the streaming audience there also will be the opportunity to interact!
- Match & Meet sessions
In advance, students are matched with companies on the basis of their choice, interest, education, education year and specialization. During these one-on-one sessions, students can get a better picture of their future within the company (for example, opportunities for internships, graduation assignments or even vacancies for a junior position).
Goals of the Automotive Career Day:
- To offer students to orient themselves at the automotive sector and the career opportunities.
- To offer companies and organisations the possibility to introduce themselves and to expose their interships and career opportunities.
- To offer the opportunity to students and companies to network and contact with lecturers, lectors and collegues.
