ACE Student Award 2019 won by graduation project of digital testing of impressing the roof of electrical vehicles
Ronald Feijns, graduated from Fontys Automotive, won on 11 juli 2019 the Student Award 2019 of the Automotive Center of Expertise ACE. His graduation project was realized by Altran Engineering in Helmond. The focus was on testing the impressing of roofs of electrical vehicles. Normally the tests are done physically, but Ronald developed a digital testing tool.
Safety of passengers
Ronald: “The impression of the roof is a test for the safety of passengers. With this digital test it is possible to take into account the requirements in the early stage of the design process. I am very happy that I won the Student Ward." Besides the ACE Student Award he wins a 3 or 4 day Formule 1 trip to a GP in Europe for 2 persons.
ACE Student Award 2019
The ACE Student Award has been started to expose the innovation and knowledge of the automotive industry. On July 11, four nominated graduates of Fontys and HAN presented their graduation project on the Automotive Campus in Helmond to a jury of three persons and to representatives of the automotive industry and automotive education. Rik Baert, chairman of the jury and lector Future Powertrain at Fontys Hogescholen: “We judged four good projects. We focussed on the usefulness and sustainability of the results. Because of those elements Ronald won the Award."
With this Award ACE also exposes excellent students. Four excellente students were given some attention because they succeeded in getting a premaster at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
